Handknotted Macrame

Hand-knotted jewellery made by order.

More information

Macrame is an old technique believed to have originated with 13th-century Arab weavers. These unique pieces are made by ourselves using strong waxed strings which are waterproof.  This ensures that the patterns and colours stay as new for years and also that the central pieces are held by pressure which will last longer that traditional glued jewellery pieces.

The central piece in this photo is a hand carved old Peruvian coin depicting a llama.  The cords have been knotted around it and complimented with round pyrite stones. It's fully adjustable so it can be used as a chocker or a necklace.

Many more designs are available from $25, please contact us for details. We can also make unique pieces by order.
